Scott ValentinoPacific Current President
Scott Valentino is president of Pacific Current, a subsidiary of Hawaiian Electric Industries, focused on investing in solutions that contribute to Hawai‘i’s 100 percent sustainability goals and local economic development.
Scott is responsible for building and maintaining Pacific Current’s diverse portfolio, which currently includes five solar-plus-storage projects under development with the University of Hawai‘i, and a 60-megawatt power plant on the Hamakua coast of Hawai‘i Island.
Scott brings an extensive and diverse background in investment and infrastructure development to his role. He served as vice president of strategy and finance at Altagas, where he developed a 20 MW/80 MWh energy storage project for the City of Pomona, California — the largest battery storage project in North America at the time. He also served in leadership roles at NRG, where he was involved in numerous clean energy projects in Hawai‘i and throughout the West Coast.
